    What the ----?

Hunter Pence has torn up the spring this year and will possibly make the team but this report really made me look twice......

Hunter Pence finished 3-for-5 with a double in Friday's defeat of the Blue Jays, dropping his average to .722.

He'll have to pull out of this slump soon in order to continue his surprise bid to make the Astros. Pence is 13-for-18 with four doubles, a triple and two homers.

No way he's going to make the MLB squad with his average plummeting like that.

That's some pretty good hitting when a 3 hit game actually drops your batting average.

That is some nice hitting right there.

    Update....

Hunter Pence is now 14-19 with 8 runs, 4 doubles, 1 triple, 2 home runs, 7 RBI, 26 total bases, 2 BB, 2 SO, 1 SB with a 773 OBP, 1.368 slugging percentage and raised his average to .737.

Still a dark horse to make the team.

He seems to have been in a little slump recently. His average has plummeted to .652 and his OBP is at a spring low of .704 while it also appears his power numbers were a fluke as he is now at a measly 1.174 slugging percentage.

They will send him to AAA to work on his game.

Yeah, the team said his only chance was to beat out Burke for center, and that he's not an option in RF.

It has to be because Richard Hidalgo is a such a valuable commodity.

That reporter was just looking for something negative.
