Astros owner orders Lidge to be traded?

    http://blogs.chron.com/sportsjustice..._lidge_te.html

I'm told Drayton McLane ordered Purpura to trade Brad Lidge. I got this information from an official with another team. I would expect the Astros to deny it.

Seriously, I know Bradley has had serious issues this year after Pujols made him his ***** in the playoffs, but still, how often does an owner of all people order a trade of a player like Lidge, and not for monetary reasons

Buster Olney just reported that a team contacted the Astros about Lidge and they were told he was unavailable.

ESPN's Buster Olney reports that a team calling the Astros this morning regarding Brad Lidge was told the closer wouldn't be traded.
Interesting. Also, ESPN's John Kruk is reporting that Minute Maid Park will institute a 50-cent price hike on both beer and hot dogs next year. Hurry back, Peter.

I haven't seen anything on him yet. The deadline is done in 2 minutes. Is this a case of GM not getting it done for the owner?

Lidge is probably going to stay with Houston.

I am still wondering what kind of realtionship the owner and GM have now. I bet it is porr all of a sudden. Not good for a franchise that could still be in it.
