    Whats up with these Stros?

These guys have sole posession of first place in the NL Central. How are they doing this? Their lineup is not all that tough and their pitching staff is nothing amazing after Oz and Pettitte am I right? So what gives with this team's success? I could only imagine what this team would do if they got Clemens back.

Can anyone elaborate on their success?

Playing Florida, Washington, San Francisco, and Arizona probably has something to do with it. They took two out of three from Milwaukee, but both wins were by a run. I won't call it a fluke because they'll prove me wrong, but the schedule would seem to have an impact.

Someone forget to tell Ensberg that it is an even year.

Yeah you are right about their schedule. It is entirely possible that they will come back down to earth once the face some tougher competition.

And Ensberg has been a huge part of it as well once again for sure.

SF only played the Stros twice and they split so Their lineup is pretty damn good thanks to Bagwell being out and the bullpen is still solid. Look at the numbers from that lineup. Biggio, Berkman and Ensberg are all hitting over .350. Taveras is hitting around .300 as is Ausmus and Buke is hitting .400 helping off the bench. Its a total team effort and they better keep it up to persuade Clemens to come back.

Somehow the Reds were able to figure out Oswalt enough to beat him. His record is tainted finally at a 15-1 mark. Wow that took far too long. Good game though Stros!
