    pitching coach Hickey let go

This guy had coached a team with the second best ERA in the league this year. Are the Astros giving credit to the likes of the superstar rotation and thus dropping credibility that is deserved for Hickey? I just don't see why you fire a guy like this.

Anyone know better than me about this situation?

I hope the Reds make a run at Hickey.

No clue why we did that? Wouldn't it be nice if Nolan Ryan were a pitching coach?

Yep Nolan Ryan would be sick. But I don't think anyone can teach talent. In other words, he probably can't teach a pitcher to have the dominance as he did. If they don't have it, they don't have it. And you only find someone with that kind of talent once a decade.

Anyhow, he would still be huge and very effective IMO. Its a good idea.

The Astros should have fired their hitting coach instead. Pitching was just stellar.
