Dodgers Lofton to sign with Dodgers

    http://www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-...ck=1&cset=true

The Dodgers also are close to an agreement on a one-year contract with Kenny Lofton, and an announcement could come as soon as today.

Meanwhile, the Arizona Republic reported that the Dodgers have agreed to terms with free agent center fielder Kenny Lofton, who had narrowed his choices to the Dodgers and Diamondbacks. A Dodgers spokesperson contacted late Sunday night could not confirm the report.

Ned Colletti is doing a good job thus far for the Dodgers.

Mueller hit .295 and Nomar is going to come back big. But I agree on Lofton. He is the old one.

13 mil to Furcal isn't overpaying?

Yes they overpaid for that "old guy" Furcal and that's it. So like I said, hardly.

They overpaid for Furcal and signed old guys Bill Mueller and now Kenny Lofton. Oh, and 6 mil for Noma? Hilarious!

Most expensive team which didn't break 80 wins? Quite possibly.

Can Lofton even play that well anymore? I don't know how much I like this signing. Nomar should come back next season, but I am not too sure that Lofton has it any more.

I agree though Colletti has done well.

I don't really see any of these moves helping to improve this team that much, but in the weakest division ever, it may be just enough...too bad their starting pitching still is "meh"

Lofton had a good year last year and Mueller plays great defense and can hit too. Oh yeah and the Cubs gave Nomar $8 mil last year so yeah hardly. They are not overpaying for anyone except for the "old guy".

How'd giving Nomar 8 mil work for the Cubs?

Nomar isn't worth more than 3 mil a year. Neither is Lofton, but the jury's still out. Furcal? Wouldn't give him over 8.5 mil.
