Thread: Kolb traded from Atlanta back to the Brewers!

Braves Kolb traded from Atlanta back to the Brewers!

MLB radio is reporting that Danny Kolb has been dealt back to the Brewers for Wes Obermueller.
It seems to us that it would have made a lot more sense to wait until he was non-tendered by Atlanta, something that was sure to happen. Kolb made $3.4 million last season and couldn't receive less than $2.72 million in arbitration. Maybe the Brewers can work something else out with him. If anyone can straighten him out, it would seem to be Mike Maddux, the pitching coach who helped mold him into a reliable closer in the first place. Of course, the Brewers won't want Kolb to do any closing next season.

    Lets get that party started!

The Braves pen is still horrible so postpone the party til something worth a damn comes along.

I like our pen. Right now, its:

    CP Reitsma-needs work
    SU Boyer
    MR McBride
    MR HoRam
    MR Devine
    MR/SP Obermueller
    MR/SP James
    MR/SP Lerew
    MR/SP Davies

I'll take that pen over whatever the Giants have any day of the week.

I wouldn't touch that pen. Postpone the party.

I like it. Too bad you have no clue who half the people are, but I've seen most of the Braves games last year, and Boyer and McBride really impress me. My guess is Boyer is our closer in 2007, he is that good.

Too bad you have no clue who is in the Giants pen or you wouldn't have said it but that's cool. Have Reitsma as your closer, I think it's funny.

Too bad you're too ****ing ignorant to read my post, where I said I DONT want Reitsma as my closer.

Where did you state that? All I see is that you said he needs work right next to where to where you have him as your closer. And I am the ignorant one?

Oh we are switching threads. It comes down to this, it doesn't matter what you like, it's what you have and you have Reitsma as your closer for now. Nothing has changed

And hell, I'd rather have Reitsma than Benitez.

Ah, let's not get carried away. (And I'm a Braves fan.)

    Isn't Benitez pushing 50?

Besides, I still remember the Benitez of the New York Mets (and, for a week, Yankees). I don't want thay psycho on my team.

Yeah see now you just are getting crazy. Benitez is 33 and 100X better than reitsma at closing games.
