    Manny, Lyle, Barry, Austin

    1. Manny- Manny Ramirez has said again and again he will not be back to play in Boston in '06 and so did his good friend David Ortiz. Well you really cant take seriously what Big Papi said since he totally wiffed last year in saying " Pedro would not be a Met". Well if he is dealt thier are only two possible teams where he could be dealt, the Mets and the Angels, and really it's only one the Mets. Omar Minaya has said over this past week that he would be very reluctant to send Aaron Heilman and Lastings Milledge in any Manny deal. With that if Boston really believes that Ramirez will live up to his comments that " I will not report to spring training" they will have to deal him so that gives the Mets extreme leaverge. If a deal were to go down it would probably include Mets Left Fielder, Cliff Floyd, who was argueably the Mets best offensive player last year and Jae Seo, along with another prospect or two (not Milledge). That kind of deal would make sense for both teams in a sense. No they wont replace Manny but they get a very good hitter just coming off maybe his best year along with Seo who pitch excellent over the last two months(And really his whole time he was in the Bigs) along with an A level prospect(probably). This deal also probably wouldnt go down til the mets get rid of Benson(8 mil off payroll). My Chances of Manny Ramirez being traded to the Mets are 7.5/10 and if angels just flattout say they dont want him that would bump it up to 8.5. Lastly the Mariners have also been reported to want him. That would happen only if its for Ichiro who would leadofff and play Canter Field.

2.Lyle- Lyle Overbay will probably be traded because of three reasons. 1.Price Fielder is going to be the starter. He is young and extremely talented and will be the face of the Brew' Crew for many years to come.
2.He could be very valuble on the Market because of teams that need to aquire a first baseman- Redsox, Giants, Orioles, Astros(split time with Bagwell) and Yankees (Giambi can DH)
3.With those teams that need one he may be able to get close to the kind of deal when he sent away Richie Sexson.
My Chances of Lyle Overbay being traded are 8/10 and its increasing.

3.Barry- Barry Zito is the best pitcher on the market and since Billy Beane has aquired Esteban Loiza he has the chane to deal Zito with out and incredible drop-off. Potiental teams to aquire Zito will have to give what every team that trades with Oakland give up young pitching and hitters with good on base percentage. Also look for the guy with essientally no name and turn up in the trade in become very valuble( Danny Haren) for them. The teams that have a good chance to aquire Zito are-
Orioles- They have a good farm and could give the A's some offense.
Dodgers- Last year failed to get Hudson so they would probably want Zito and they have some really good players down in the farm.
Mets- Omar Minaya has talked to Beane about Zito but has said he will be reluctant to give what the A's would probably want [Milledge and Heilman]. That doesn't mean a deal could'nt happen the Mets although very limeted in the farm have some good players down there and Beane and Minaya seem to keep talking even though heilman and milledge aren't likely to go.
There are a few other teams that want Zito and have talked but the leaders are the Mets. One thing that teams are reluctant about trading for Zito is that he will be a Free Agent after the '06 campaign and he wont be cheap. This also helps the big Market teams [The Mets] because they have the capital to sign him and he love Rick Peterson so that will influence his decision along with Minaya's bull dog attitude of not letting up 'til he gets his man( Delgado, Wagner, Beltran, Martinez)My Chances of zito being traded are 6.5/10

Austin- Austin Kearns of the Cinncinati Reds will probably be traded because he is the least valuble of the Four starting capable outfielders they have (Kearns, Griffey Jr., Dunn, Pena) and the only other one the would want to trade is Griffey who will be hard because of his hefty contract. Potiental teams for Kearns are
    Phillies- If Abrue is dealt
Braves- Can use him to play the other outfield corner spot
Indians- Doubt they would trade him to In-state rival but it can happen
Rangers- They have a great in-field offense but offensive outfield leaves something to be desired
Angels- they need a bat for DH and could use the cheap steady hitter that Kearns is.
My Chances of Austin Kearns being traded are 9/10 because they could use a nice pitcher for him and he really cant get the plaing tme in the Queen city.

The winter meetings in Dallas this Monday could include all of these trades and some others like Javy Vazquez, Juan Pierre, Paul LoDuca and Kris Benson stay tuned

Im out but will keep you posted

Very entertaining thoughts. But are these informative or are they just thoughts? Either way, it is a good post. Welcome to the forums Santa!
