At least he stayed healthy. I'd bet a beer on the fact that Beltre's production wouldn't have dipped a much if he stayed in LA, but thats just speculation.

J.D. had a freak injury in which Brad Halsey couldn't find the strike zone and the ball hit J.D. on the wrist. This wasn't his hamstring or ankle.
