Dodgers Dodgers sign Not Bryce Harper

Classic Friedman 4 years for an injury waiting to happen. Dude has only come close to playing a full season once in his career, yet the nerds somehow think he's worth paying more to replace Puig while losing a first round pick in the process. I prepared myself for this to happen and yet it is still miserable.

At least you didn't sign a shitty reliever who had a fluke contract year for 3 years to pitch the 6th inning. Yay RP market inefficiencies?

Not Bryce Harper does sound cooler than AJ Pollock

We signed a shitty reliever who had a fluke postseason to 3 years to be our setup man to Choking Kenley. I'm already having Sherrill and Broxton flashbacks, ugh.

Kasten says “there are a lot of advantages to being under” the luxury tax threshold.

He is asked to explain those advantages so that fans could understand them.

    He does not.

I should change the name of one of the non-themed prospects in Houston in MSL to "Not Bryce Harper"

Maybe Bryce Harper with a nickname of Not?

Or AJ Pollack as the nickname?

The ****** Giants are going to sign Harper because all this time I thought Zaidi was the one holding the Dodgers back for years. FML.

Would almost rather have him sign with fucking San Diego so then they have to trade like Reyes or Cordero to make room in the outfield when nobody else wants Hosmer, Myers, or Margot.

Cordero probably doesn't start even without Harper.

There's conflicting reports about what the Gnats are offering. Some say 10/300 but others are saying they are only offering a very short term deal with a high AAV.

I can't even blame it on the nerd front offices. I'm sure their WAR calculator can make 10 years work for a generational talent in his prime. It's the fucking owners with the classic Frank McCourt thinking: "Why would I spend $150 million to win 98 games when I can spend half that to win 90, if that's all it takes to make the playoffs in our division?"
