im assuming that the story on preller thinking they could get back into it, was correct. im glad we didnt deal mateo, even though kimbrel is awesome.
But something must have abruptly changed his mind on that matter because reports as recent as this morning had him trading Kimbrel to the Yankees if Mateo was involved.
I'm fairly positive reports of Preller thinking they can get back into it are nothing more than after-the-fact positive spinning.

maybe kimbrel was the only guy he could find a legit deal on, and hes the guy they actually have past this year, so they said fuck it, lets go for it.

David Price hopped in his car with his niece to make the trip north, a tire blew out, little Jenny hit her lip, nothing major, they are fine. He had to have his car towed no one in the area had tires to fit his car.
