And Bowden fell for the old fake Joel Sherman account.

I didn't see the "Sherman" tweet till after. Surprising that a legit guy like Bowden would fall for a fake account(and not credit the person he seems to have been stealing from)

Take it from a lifelong Reds fan, Bowden is a lot of things, "legit" isn't one.

Jim Bowden is the MLB equivilant of a snake oil sales man.

This quote here pretty much reminds me of why I always celebrate his getting fired and the joke of a tenure he had in Washington.

"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

The guy was such a sleezeball.
