    Jim Thome to Baltimore

I have no link, but there is a hot rumor going around that the Phillies, Orioles and a third team are in cohoots on a deal that sends BJ Ryan to Philly, Jim Thome to Baltimore, and Billy Wagner to a 3rd team whomever that may be, maybe the Cubs? Might be hot air, probably so, but intersesting nonetheless.

Rumor has it that BJ is gonna demand a large contract in free agency, and the O's want to get some value before he walks. UNder this scenario, CHris Ray would become closer.

    Chris Ray closing?

    Hmmm, good idea.

Picking up Thome's contract would be a little too much to ask though, probably.

Eh..so it's basically Ryan for Thome? Thome can be had for free.

So...they won't take Mike Lowell's money for a pitcher they could use, but they will use it for Thome? Heh.

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.

Thome is a lot better healthy. Thome would be money well spent if he could get himself 100% again.

Not to mention, Thome is a big name, and he could get fans in stands.

I have a feeling that Thome won't be traded.

This is a load of bullshit. None of this makes a lick of sense.

Could just be preliminary talks. Orioles are in the market to make moves. Who knows what they'll get done.
