I don't know who those people are.
Wow, if liking, loving or honoring things from the past is considered douchebag(ery) then I am the biggest offender on the planet!
Don't mind him. He's just misrepresenting an argument I made years ago

Give me a fucking break. It's been overall a shitty 3 decades to be a fan of L.A. sports teams.
The Kings and Lakers have both won championships within that time frame.
Dodgers as well if you're going back 30 years.
Yes, but I only care about the Dodgers, at least until they win it all again and the Lakers become the ones who haven't won in over a quarter of a century.
I guess what I actually meant is that the 90's was a shitty decade to grow up rooting for these teams. The Kings were the laughingstock of the league for so long. The Lakers were the Dodgers before the Dodgers, just plain fucking mediocre. And the Dodgers are the Dodgers.
The Lakers were a powerhouse in the 00s. They won 5 championships in a span of 11 years.
That was probably the best time to be a Lakers fan since the Showtime era.
I mean, yeah, they were fairly lame before Kobe and Shaq arrived but all in all they don't really belong in this conversation....even if they may fit in in future seasons.
Well, you're right. I would still bet my life today that the Lakers will win banner #17 before the Dodgers ever win it all again. At least Kupchak has grown from the guy who "will be best remembered for trading Shaq" to a good-to-excellent GM, whereas the Dodgers front office has been run by booger eating morons and a borderline retarded field manager.
Damn. Now that seems out of place after the edit
Yeah I edited the Bullets comparison out, but same shit. 'Sheed, C-Webb, and Juwan and nothing to show for it.
