According to Richard Durrett of ESPNDallas.com, Koji Uehara rejected a trade to the Blue Jays.
Uehara has a limited no-trade clause which includes six teams and Toronto is one of them. According to Durrett, the 36-year-old right-hander simply wasn't willing to move his family from Baltimore. This could explain why the Blue Jays signed Francisco Cordero to a one-year, $4.5 million contract to serve as a set-up man for Sergio Santos. It's not known whether the Rangers will continue to shop Uehara, but the Orioles have expressed interest in a potential reunion.
Strange to see the Rangers shopping Uehara with Feliz moving to the rotation. Guess they need to shed some payroll. I don't blame Uehara for rejecting a trade to the Jays. Why leave the defending back-toback AL Champs. Looks like the Jays had a good backup option in Cordero.
