    Angels Pujols to the Halos

    Why Pujols hasn't gotten his own thread yet I'll never know but now is the time to give the best player of this new era his due. Jon Heyman is reporting that the Marlins have upped their offer on Pujols from 9 to 10 years!! If true, the Cardinals have to be shitting themselves a little. Mozeliak has stood firm by his offer but things have changed and he needs to do the same. While I don't think they need to match the Marlins offer in terms of years but do need to up the monetary value. The Marlins are the only legit threat to the Cards. This should be fun to watch. A lot of you didn't believe the Marlins were for real but they sure proved otherwise.

    Cubs have out in a bid on Pujols but no details of yet. It is also being reported the Cards do not expect to be able to match or best a deal from another team before Pujols accepts.

    This just in! Pujols has asked for a Burrito at Chipolte! Oh this is great news if you are in Arizona or San Diego as they are both close to Mexico... OH but he also just ordered a Dr. Pepper!     When will teams learn, these huge deals for guys in their 30's are a waste of money. I agree about every great thing they say of pujols but 10 years of somewhere around $20 mil is just stupid for a guy about to be 32, he's got about 5 good years left and that's pushing it, especially with the crack down on PED's in baseball now. So basically the marlins will be paying a huge salary for 5 additional years of a washed up superstar, as a Yankee fan ARod is a prime example

    Hey, nothing wrong with this thread. There's real news coming out for Pujols. Have you heard anything about Fielder besides pointless opinion pieces that carry no more weight than one of us random fools saying where he should or could go?

    I'm just responding to the first part of your post wondering why there wasn't already a thread. There wasn't any real news until now, that's why.
