    I think you're safe, Mofo

As being a Cards fan along with being a Giants fan, I am really torn. The Cards just lost the second coming of Stan Musial. Statues would have been erected, street names changed and who knows, maybe even schools named in Pujols' honor had he stayed in St. Louis. How do you put a price on that? I don't blame Pujols for leaving, I blame the Cardinals for not getting a deal done sooner. They should have locked up Pujols when they signed Holliday. There was no reason to lowball and wait til the last minute with the greatest hitter of this generation. I guess when it comes down to it, the Cards got the best years of Pujols and two WS titles while the Angels will get the twilight of a HOF career.

The Cardinals have ten or eleven statues outside Busch stadium. I wouldn't be surprised if they make one for Pujols anyway.

Did you think they had too many statues when you visited?

Nice big crowd at the Big A to welcome Pujols and Wilson.

As a cards fan I can say he wasn't worth the money...

He was great for us here, sad to see him go but he won us 2 rings... just don't wanna see him vs us in a WS, I'd cry

He pretty much has to repeat his career up to this point to be worth the money.

But then you have to add in ticket sales and him possibly breaking records.

I think it's a great move by the Angels.

Listening to douchefuck Angels fans brag about having Pujols on their team will be unbearable, at least for the first few years of the contract before his production inevitably falls of a cliff.

Tell that to Ruth, Bonds and Aaron.

Not in their mid to late 30's as everyone is assuming, they must have a crystal ball in their hands and Tim Tebow's god whispering in their ears.

    Re: Pujols to the Halos

Albert Pujols will be 42 in the last year of the contract, so we're not talking about the mid 30s.

Bonds, Aaron, and Ruth all dropped off at 40 so if they're your benchmarks the contract will suck for the last 3 years.

This is, of course, assuming the rumors of Pujols being older than he says he is aren't true. But I don't buy into hearsay, just throwing that out there.

And I'm basing it off of everyone saying he's going to suck after 3-4 years(which he will be 35-36).
