Broxton close to signing, won't return to the Dodgers

Broxton Likely To Sign Soon: MLB Rumors - MLBTradeRumors.com

The Rangers were in on him before signing Joe Nathan, and the Rockies discussed him as an option if they trade Huston Street. Crasnick thinks the Rays, Marlins, Red Sox, Twins, and Reds could be in the mix.
Abbott told Dylan Hernandez of the L.A. Times this morning that a tentative deal should be reached in the next few days, but his client won't be returning to the Dodgers.
As if I needed to feel even worse about how this loser blew both of our pennant series, I now get to watch some other team pick him up on the cheap, making them instant World Series favorites because baseball is cruel like that.

Not unless it's the Mets. Then we'd be set for the best fails ever.

Somehow I don't see him going on the cheap. You're gonna see a couple teams bump the prize up just enough to feel a little better that he's leaving.

It just means he'll be traded to or claimed off waivers by the Giants in July/August.

Players returning to play for a divisional rival is just one of the annoying, yet predictable trends in sports.

To be fair, Tim Collins is like 3'6 and weighs as much as Nicole Ritchie's left leg.

    But that's still hilarious.

Re: Broxton close to signing, won't return to the Dodgers

The best story came last year when Broxton needed an MRI on his elbow injury.

Mattingly said one of the immediate issues was to find an MRI tube large enough for Broxton to get his 300-pound frame into.

    “I’m serious,” said Mattingly
I can picture him climbing into the tube and getting his body stuck, his legs dangling in a comical fashion, a la Homer Simpson.

"Oh! It's the saddest thing I've ever seen!"

The Royals have placed him on the trade block...and Casilla blew his second save in his last three opportunities...thus, I believe there's a 140% chance that he will be a Giant by the end of the month.
