    Will never happen.

This article makes it sound like 2 wildcards in each league are a foregone conclusion.

if they are going back to the balanced schedule why not just merge the divisions? They'd have no point anyways?

    1) Think there'd be some kind of "move to the AL by ____" ruling? I mean, whatever team makes the move hasn't been building for the AL style of play, the difference would be a factor against them for the first year or so.

    2) Not sure I like this I prefer the unbalanced schedule. If you're going to change the schedule, eliminate or reduce interleague, but I like seeing division rivals the most, since that's what really fosters rivalries.

    3) Off the top of my head, the Giants/Dodgers/Mets/Cubs have to stay in the NL, bc you wouldn't want to saturate those cities with two AL teams and no NL team. I like most of the remaining NL teams where they are, especially teams like the Phillies and Braves would seem weird in the AL. Maybe the Brewers going back to the AL?

I just don't like this idea as a whole.

I would think the Astros would make the most sense... rivalry with Texas etc...

I wouldn't mind a huge-ass 30-team league, no divisions, where the overall top 8 teams make the playoffs. Eliminate division "rivalries" and eliminate the designated hitter. Eliminate the unbalanced schedule. Every team plays every other team the same number of times. Get it done.

I have no problem with balancing the leagues with 15 each but do have a big problem with 5 playoff teams.

I agree with reducing or getting rid of Interleague play. It's not fair for an NL West team to have the Yankees and Red Sox on their schedule while another to have the Blue Jays and Orioles.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. I can see owners getting tired of paying one sided players all that money.

I can tell you're a fan of league tables in European soccer.
