    Re: 2 15 team divisions?

Poorly veiled attempt for baseball to find yet another way to guarantee the Yanks and Saux both make the playoffs. Before Tampa got good they were almost guaranteed to win the east and the other would win the wild card. Now Tampa has the gull to stand up to the big boys and now baseball needs a new way to make it happen.

3- 5 teams division (Houston, Milwaukee, Florida make the most sense in that order)

Play 14 home/away series vs each of the other 4 teams in a division (2 extra series formula based on previous years final standings) 84 games
Play Home/away with each of the other teams in the league. 60 games
Play a division in inter league play 15 games (like the NL Central would play the AL East one year, Central the next, West the following year) 15 games.
One series vs another division vs equivilant finisher (IE Seattle would play Pittsburgh since both finished last last year). 3 games
So for 159 games out of the season each team plays the same schedule.

"Oh, don't mind me, I'm rebuilding now" then you win at least 80 games

Horrible logic, the Sox and Yanks have made the playoffs together 7 times in the WC era, and one or the other has been in the playoffs every single year... this proposal would give Tornto/TB/Baltimore legit hope of ever making the playoffs... tbh if it was 4/15 I think people would love the proposal... but the 5th team is just stupid imo
