    Report: Brett Boone to Twins

    from tsn.com http://www.sportingnews.com/baseball/

Brett Boone has been traded to the Minnesota Twins for cash or a player to be named later. The Twins will only be responsible for a portion of Boone's remaining salary.

Hmmm...I wonder if there is any life left in Boone. Surely he should be able to get some hits against a weaker central division. Might be a good pick up for fantasy baseball players.

The guy still has those quick hands and can play defense which the Twinkies need.

Circular logic aside, Mr Mims, you have yet to provide a single credible reason why you are, in fact, hot.

He could provide a bit of spark in his first few weeks. But who knows, the Twins aren't sacrificing a ton so if this isn't working out by the 31st, they can deal for someone else.

WEll, it's good/interesting to see that the Twins have made a move. Remember 2 years ago when we picked up Shannon Stewart and everybody yawned? I'm not saying this is the same thing at all, but a slight shakeup/addition can't hurt (at least I'd hope not).

I'm hoping he makes Seattle regret giving up on him.

I didn't either, but there were a lot of people in the old forum as well as articles I read online/newspaper that made it sound like it was a bad trade by the Twins to give up Keilty for Stewart.

That's sad if people thought Kealtea was better than Stewart.

Keilty was highly regarded by a LOT of scouts. In my opinion, he wasn't as good as the scouts were saying, but wtf do I know, I'm a casual fan. I do know a lot of fans were also pissed about it, probably because of what they had been reading from the scouts.

And then a wave of silence once Stewart was being mentioned as a possible MVP. Hah, justice! I doubt Boone will walk down the same road, but I would just love to see him hit up around 260-270 with solid power numbers. And let Seattle shove ..whatever replaced Boone.. up their..
