ESPN is speculating that it includes Jason Werth going somewhere else and Roy Oswalt coming to Philadelphia.

Jeez, Halladay - Oswalt - Hamels
Seems like a solid three to take into an October series.

They're idiots. They could have had Halladay-Lee-Hamels, and not have had to deal Werth. Oswalt is good and all, but Lee was cheaper and he's better. If this all takes place, the GM and Owner need to smack themselves with a wet noodle.
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
Barney: Circle gets the square!

With Old Man Moyer going down last night, I expect this to pick up a bit of steam on the wire.
Ohillies will be buyers this trade season, and it will be interesting to see what they can do.
P.s. Nice job on the [Rumor]. I got a list that I am gonna post up here soon so you have an idea of where things are going with that.
what makes you think they could have had Halladay and Lee when it took Lee to get Halladay?
Considering they didn't deal Lee directly for Halladay, prospects. They'll end up parting with more prospects if they go after Oswalt, so why not have just saved wasted time and headaches and kept Lee? Unless you think Phil Aumont was the deal breaker here, yes, they could have had both.

too much speculation to make a declaration of stupidity.
somehow I doubt they trade Lee if they don't have to.
I think they would have been better off sticking with Lee with or without Halladay, though.
He's right. Toronto got the minor league players they wanted from Philly. It wasn't a case of Philly having to trade Cliff Lee to Seattle for some Mariners prospects to pass along to Toronto in order to complete the deal.
Apparently the deal is all but dead. Oswalt wants an insane amount of jack in an extension and won't waive his no-trade if he doesn't get it. Phillies aren't biting. Oswalt is quickly climbing up my 'piece of crap' list. I realize he's a good pitcher and all, but he's not worth the money he's going to make. There's only 1 pitcher that's worth the cash they make and that is Halladay.

I haven't read anything about an extension. It's been reported he wants his $16M option in 2012 to be picked up. Still a shitload of jack for a guy with his mileage.
He wants the option and an extension according to ESPN.

Here's the info regarding Oswalt, and the deal or no deal taking place in Philly now.

Looking less likely now, but wait a second...BEN SHEETS, OMG ITS BEN Sheets /jim ross voice
Despite the atrocious W-L record, but I don't care about that, Oswalt is on pace for maybe his best season yet. Awesome K/9, super low BAA, throwing a good number of innings... just getting it done.

Yeah, but it's the Year of the Pitcher, though.
Oswalt needs to swallow his pride and realize he's not going anywhere in Houston.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.
