Thank God. This had Duhhhsty Baker written all over it. I get fed up with Duhhhsty as it is. I would have thrown something through my tv if I had to put up with him, Taveras, and Pierre on the same team.

Wish the Reds would have gotten them to take the cheaper Taveras.

The difference being, Pierre can actually hit. The ball. That white thing pitchers throw.

It still sucks the Dodgers have to cover $10.5 million of his contract, but they should be fortunate that he went Beast Mode during last May and salvaged some trade value to make him attractive to Kenny Williams. Now, hopefully the $8 million in savings is enough to pay off Jamie Mc****.

Its kind of funny that mofo used the phrase "beast mode" which really is absolutely correct to describe Pierre's output last season. I just never thought that would be the appropriate way to describe Pierre in LA.

The Chicago Sun Times figure a black guy can't be named Juan, so they looked for a brown dude instead:

White Sox acquire lead-off man, outfielder in Juan Pierre :: CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: White Sox

    ^^mmmm, maybeeee

Anywho, I don't see a potential Chad Bradford type steal among those two minor league pitchers. Then again, I don't expect any pitcher in the forseeable future to log a ridiculously low ERA in the Canadian Rockies as Bradford did.

So the ChiSox have signed two ex=Dodgers who used to beg for playing time. Interesting...

Andruw didn't beg for playing time. He asked to go home. Yes, really.
