I'm assuming this is guaranteed money. It's not a bad price to take a shot at the potential, and he'd likely be an upgrade over Ronny Cedeno offensively.
Otherwise, he's a hit-first utility infielder that can play SS, 3B and 1B. I'm not against this deal at all.
You're right, except for the hit part. Compare his last 4 years to Ronny's and cry softly in a corner.
Change of scenery, 100% health may turn him back into that player. I'm not hoping that he turns into an MVP canidate(like someone projected on MLB Network within the last 2 years.) I'm just hoping he can fill a hole. If not, I'm sure we have some worthless glove-first infielder that can take his spot and we can dump him.
He was barely a mediocre player of the year candidate.
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
Barney: Circle gets the square!

Good luck Bobert Crosbert.
Suppose Dontrelle Willis is on their radar? In a couple of years, Geovany Soto will definitely be acquired for a hand full of sunflower seeds.

Any SS who was once hyped or showed a glimmer of hope or talent early on (Berroa, Khlalil Greene, Crosby, etc) will always find work, especially when they are still under 30. Its the rule of the offseason.
