Seems like the softened the asking price, and see what happens very quickly?According to Tim Brown of Yahoo! Sports, the Twins have acquired Orlando Cabrera from the A's for 21-year-old shorstop Tyler Ladendorf.

Don't let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.
Official according to mlbtraderumors.
Cabrera's a solid pick up, not sure about the prospect. Twins needed a SS too, this could help them...
Sounds good to me. Everyday short stop...Casilla to minors, Punto/Harris split time at 2B, and Crede at 3B, Harris spelling him as needed.

That should be a decent lineup. Crede plays 3B when he can and Punto and Harris split time at 2B.
Who comes off the roster when Grud is ready to play at the big league level, or do they put Slowey or Bonser on the 60-day DL?

I'd more than likely guess, this ends the Grudz comeback chances until at least September.
Ladendorf is an athletic guy, unlikely to stick at short without much pop. Probably profiles best as a second baseman long term...not much of a spect at all.
I'd bet Slowey hits the 60 day DL.

considering we wouldn't get anything if Cabrera walked, he's clause in his contract that if he makes type a, maybe b as well, that you can't offer him arby to get comp, I'll take something over nothing. He's 21 and was a 2nd round pick so he could still develop.
