    MLB International Signings Thread

I'm going to post signings in here as they are made public. Feel free to contribute-- I always like to follow the international signings period.

    Re: International Signings Thread

    Cardinals signed outfielder Wagner Mateo.

Mateo, a 16-year-old from the Dominican Republic, received a $3.1 million signing bonus, which stands as the second-highest chunk of money ever tendered to a Latin American amateur. The Giants were also in the hunt, but Cardinals GM John Mozeliak sealed the deal with an in-home visit.

    Yankees signed catcher Gary Sanchez.

July 2 marks the beginning of the international free agent signing period, so look for more transactions throughout the day. Sanchez, a 16-year-old Dominican, was handed a $3 million signing bonus. He was pursued by several other clubs, but the Yanks outbid the bunch.
    -rotoworld.com for both tidbits.

It would be awesome if one year, the Yankees signed everyone.
