I'd still be shocked if he didn't come to Boston

Sponichi has joined Nikkan Sports in reporting that Junichi Tazawa is expected to sign with the Red Sox.
A deal could be announced on Dec. 1. Tazawa apparently is picking the Red Sox despite receiving offers from the Mariners, Braves and Rangers that included more guaranteed money.
Looks like you got your wish cjkalt.

Hopefully he has more control than Dice K.

Junichi Tazawa's deal with the Red Sox is expected to become official after he undergoes a physical in Boston this week.
A source told the Boston Globe that Tazawa's deal is a major league contract worth an estimated $3 million over three years.
This is why the Red Sox have been one of the best run organizations over the past few years. Sure they overpaid for Dice K but not for Okijimi and now Tazawa. Epstein chooses his battles carefully.

Another situation handled very well by Epstein, good signing.
"They asked me if I wanted the ball in Game 6, and I said yes. I'll always say yes. That's what I did with Jack McKeon. I told him, 'Let me see how I feel tomorrow.' I went out, did a long toss, came in and said, 'I'll pitch, I want it, I want to do it.' And it ended up working out." -Josh Beckett

He's only 22. He has room to grow in America's game.

So he's a 22 year old who has never pitched on a professional level?

Sounds like 3 million well spent. I rescind all previous comments.

How is this any different than getting a top 10 pick in the draft and paying him more in signing bonuses alone??

It's not and actually a lot more affordable in that regard, but then again it's Saber, I'd be shocked if he ever had anything positive to say.

He just doesn't think before he types sometimes or else he wouldn't have made that retarded comment.
