Because they need to fill spots I presume, and Igawa is cheaper this year anyway, than Cameron.
I mean, I wouldn't do the deal if I were MIL, but I think they're waving the white flag.

If they're waving the white flag and in the mood for making dumb deals, I hope Melvin trades Prince Fielder to the Giants for Dave Roberts and Jonathan Sanchez. The only spot Igawa fills is in AAA.
THANK GOD for thisQuote:
New York has told Milwaukee that no pitcher on their 40-man roster is available.
Sounds like no Cameron then.
Not really

Both sides still expect a deal to get done eventually.
Yankees have to give or Melvin is a retard.
Igawa is not on our 40 man, so it looks like this is what it is. Seemingly.
I guess Melvin was satisfied with making the playoffs once in 25 years.
I really don't know what he's thinking. Awful trade for MIL.
Good for the Brewers:clap:Quote:
According to the New York Times, "the Yankees are backing away from a potential Melky Cabrera-for-Mike Cameron trade with the Milwaukee Brewers, at least for now."
The newspaper reports that "at this point the Yankees' main question is baseball-related, not financial," which suggests that they're unwilling to meet the Brewers' demands for a second player.
Mindboggling.
The Yanks do believe they can wait, so I assume this may relate to the Tex/Manny thing at least partially.
I hope.
If the Yankees get Manny, I will laugh so hard I might not ever find anything funny again. Tell the Steinbrenners to make a good offer for Randy Winn.
I like Randy Winn. Can we have him?
Can't just "have" him. I'm sure he could be had for the right price.
Kei Igawa?
