4/3: Slow Transactions on the Western Front

    Arizona:
Valverde (RP) and Gil (SS) on the 15 day DL
    McCracken's McContract McPurchased
Reggie Abercrombie is designated for assignment

    Colorado:
Atkins (3B) is placed on 15 day DL
Baker (3B) called up from AA

    New York (A):
Brown (SP) is placed on 15-day DL
Phillips (OF) is called to MLB

    Texas:
Laird (C), Nix (OF), Regilio (P) to AAA
Torres (OF), Kinsler, Ransom (IF), Nunez, Stamler (P) to minor league camp
    Purchased DeRosa's and Allen's contracts
Designated Hughes and Montero (P) for assignment
Astacio, Benoit, Francisco (P) on 15-day DL

    Top 3 moves

    1. Brown on DL: Not exactly a big shocker there, but that causes them to be "forced" to pitch right. Poor Yankees
    2. Benoit and Francisco on 15 day DL: Losing a pretty good SP and a nice (angry) RP is not good for a team that is already strapped
    3. Atkins on DL: Not much there, but Colorado loses their starting rookie (I think) 3B.

Abercromie has no chance of making the Majors. 5 Tool player with no tool box. Thank god valverde is hurt, maybe that walking 3 people then giving up a slam in ST was a fluke
