The Twins have discussed Rich Aurilia with the Giants, according to ESPN's Jayson Stark.
Minnesota has looked at regular third basemen like Adrian Beltre and Hank Blalock, but if the club picked up Aurilia, it'd likely be to start him only against lefties, with Brian Buscher playing against righties. Stark also reports that the Twins are dangling Boof Bonser as they look for an upgrade, but doesn't say he's part of the talks with the Giants. Bonser was drafted by the Giants before being included in the A.J. Pierzynski deal.
Giants could use Bonzer but don't think Aurilia could pull him back to SF. Aurilia would be a decent addition and probably hit 8th which would be good for the Twins.
