    Well the one positive here is that he can spell Berkman at first base occassionally as well. And DH in interleague games. He is definietly past his prime, but if healthy, maybe he will be a productive bench player like Lamb was for them last year.

    Have to agree with Saber here. Blum or someone else can play first to spell Berkman. Ed Wade is a genius.

    If they wanted a backup 1B/OF that cant hit for power. They could have called on us. I'm sure Willie Bloomquist would be a better option.
