He's very freaking old. I guess he could hang out with Hoffman. Should be good for team chemistry.

They should have gotten a real CFer. I love Edmonds but he is past his prime and doubt he ever sees 100 games again. Too much punishment on his body for him to stay healthy. He lost his power and going to Petco makes it worse. Padres better hope Peavy and Young throw shutouts every night because this offense looks bad.
