    Astros get Miguel Tejada

Astros traded for Miguel Tejada in exchange for Luke Scott and four other worthless bums.

Reports say the Astros might non-tender Everett and the O's could sign him as a FA. Looks like Tejada will stay at SS. It's a good move by the Stros but they still need pitching. Tejada, Lee and Berkman make for a good 3-4-5 with Pence possibly hitting in the #2 hole.

All of a sudden the Astros look scary again. Hopefully for my sake Tejada posts the same kind of numbers he did last year. But I doubt that will happen since he is switching leagues and will be hitting in a hitter's haven.

Wow, good job by the Astros aquiring Tejada. Although he is coming off of a slight down year I think that he will still be able to give the Astros a power bat and a good glove in the infield. The Astros are going to be a good team next year...

Eh, Tejada didn't have a very good year last year, he had an OPS of .799 while the average NL 3B was at .804. The Orioles got a good haul from Houston as well and the Astros don't have much of a farm system anymore, and will still suck.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

They won't suck but they won't be great.

Only problem is they view Tejada as their SS, not 3B. Tejada's and his supposed bad year is a perfect fit in this lineup. What team doesn't want a .296 average with 18 HRs and 81 RBI from their SS?

And that was with Tejada missing an unusual (for him) 29 games. Extrapolate those numbers to his usual 162 and he still has a good season. Not to mention the effects of coming back from injury and taking time to get heated up again. I'm counting on a 27-hr season for Big T.

And he's out of a smelly organization, he should be more relaxed now.

The Astros traded away what was left of their farm and they still have holes at second, wherever Tejada doesn't play, and catcher whenever Ausmus plays. Oh, and their rotation sucks.

But...they get to play in the NL Central!!! 85 wins could take it again.

They have Matsui and Burke at second. I could see them bringing Ensberg back to play third.
