WOW!!! That came out of nowhere. I didnt even hear the Angels' in the rumors. I have been out of the loop the past week. Been very busy, and not able to keep up. I really thought he was going to be somewhere else (White Sox or Rangers).

Yes it does. And having Matthews around is insurance if Hunter gets injuried. He is injury-prone, and good move on the Angels part.
Heh, 18 mil a year for Hunter (I guess that's the max for his contract?). That's silly. That's a Yankee contract.

Nice pick up. I was as surprised as most but as an Angels fan I like it.

I am not an Angels' fan, but like a few of their players and their manager though.
They said Mathews Jr wont be playing in the OF, he will be a DH and fill in for the corner OF whenever Vlad or Anderson need a day off.
Anderson ahould be the Dh and fill in occasionally.
Matthews Jr by far. Hunter isn't a one year wonder on roids. This is a great signing and puts them head and shoulders above the rest in the West. Angels adding Garland and now Hunter is a pretty impressive offseason thus far. Vlad will finally get some protection and watch for them to try their hardest to move Matthews.Originally Posted by McKain
