If the Twins do move Johan, I hope it is to the NL. He will regain his Cy Young form, IMO. The Twins should hold out for the best deal though. Neither of these is quite good enough.
By the way, Uncle Carl could pay the amount of money that Johan and Torii Hunter want, but seems to have an impediment in his ability to sign big checks.

I agree, what a joke. Carlos "No Stick" Gomez is so much more valuable of a player. Good job, Minnesota.

    Minnesota should've done this.

But Matt Kemp isn't the toolsy outfielder that Carlos Gomez is and Clayton Kershaw lacks the craftiness of Philip Humber and Kevin Mulvey.

    This deal worked out well.

So many prophetic posts by us. Leo and Mofo purposely dug the threads up to entertain themselves. Ahha

I only bumped it when the Twins made the trade with the Mets and predicted that Carlos Gomez was gonna be a scrub.

Johan Santana's Mets Career Is Over

In 5 years with the Dodgers, Kevin Brown averaged 26 starts, 175 IP with a 2.83 ERA.

In 6 years with the Mets, Johan Santana averaged 18 starts, 119.5 IP with a 3.18 ERA.

Which one is the albatross acquisition now?
