Yeah and he'd secure up that last spot in the pen. Especially the way he's been Pitching this year

Grudz is coming off the DL today so he will have time to showcase his talent. The Devil Rays have had one of the worst GM's and owners in history. They should be relocated but not contracted. When your owner refuses to spend and your GM forgets all about pitching, it's hard to win.

    Re: Firesale in KC?

After reading more into The KC Star (My Paper) about Dotel I found out that while Dotel would be a good option, he'd probably want to be full-time closer. Also I found a possibly cheaper and a better option in Joakim Soria. Soria went 10-13 in save opportunities while Dotel was hurt. He has a 2.23 ERA and 39:14 K:BB ratio, which you need a good one to succeed in Coors. Lastly, it (The Star) said "Long-term future, though, could be as a starter" which means he would be an effective 7th inning guy AND as a possible spot starter. So in my opinion the Rockies should look to acquire Joakim Soria from the Royals instead of Octavio Dotel

Only problem is that the Royals would want to keep him as he is cheap and under their control for quite sometime. Dotel is only signed for one year.

Yeah that would be the only question. Hopefully if they give him up he would be very cheap so we won't have to give up U-Bal or Greg Reynolds.

On that note according to mlbtraderumors.com the Rockies won't trade for a SP but try bringing up people like U-Bal or Greg Reynolds to fill in.

Also 1B Prospect Joe Koshansky could be on his way out

I wonder why they would trade prospects?
