    Foulke Deal Done

Indians signed RHP Keith Foulke, who had been with the Red Sox, to a one-year, $5 million contract with a mutual option for 2008.
He can earn an additional $2 million in incentives based on games finish. The mutual option for 2008 is also worth $5 million, but it could increase to mirror his 2007 pay. Foulke becomes the favorite to close for Cleveland, though he will have to compete with Joe Borowski. With Roberto Hernandez, Aaron Fultz and Rafael Betancourt locks for the pen, there are going to be just two spots open for Fernando Cabrera, Matt Miller, Jason Davis, Fausto Carmona, Tom Mastny and the rest of the team's youngsters. We're guessing that Brian Sikorski, who would be an extreme long shot for the rebuilt pen, is going to get bumped from the 40-man roster to make room for Foulke.
The Indians should have a much improved bullpen this season.

I don't think Foulke is worth $5 million with all of his question marks regarding durability, atleast Cleveland covered themselves a bit by only making it a one year deal with a mutual option.
"They asked me if I wanted the ball in Game 6, and I said yes. I'll always say yes. That's what I did with Jack McKeon. I told him, 'Let me see how I feel tomorrow.' I went out, did a long toss, came in and said, 'I'll pitch, I want it, I want to do it.' And it ended up working out." -Josh Beckett
