That the Mets are in discussion with the A's for Rich Harden or another one of their frontline starters.
A Packaage for Harden would probably include Milledge and Heilman. Updates as they come through.

Aren't the Mets the frontrunners to sign Zito as well? They're taking over the entire A's rotation! DAN HAREN IS NEXT.
Well they said top starters, so it could be Haren or Harden.
It's on SI.com now too.

I don't think Harden is Spanish so Omar probably won't try as hard to get him.
The rumor was actually for Joe Blanton or Dan Haren. It was also just a rumor, since those offers suck.
It was Harden in the article.
That would be a good deal for both teams if it goes through.
The A's won't trade Harden...Beane has already said he won't be going anywhere. Why do you think they signed him through his arbitration years? Why would we lose Zito and Harden? I don't think so.
Harden is nothing more than wishful thinking for the Mets. I also say the rumor has to do with either Blanton or Haren.
"They asked me if I wanted the ball in Game 6, and I said yes. I'll always say yes. That's what I did with Jack McKeon. I told him, 'Let me see how I feel tomorrow.' I went out, did a long toss, came in and said, 'I'll pitch, I want it, I want to do it.' And it ended up working out." -Josh Beckett
Dude, read the article. Harden is the only name mentioned, although we all know it won't happen.
I know the article says Harden, but it's still garbage until I see it. Haren was also signed through his arbitration years, so I don't think he's going anywhere either. Blanton could be moved...
Well, I believe Providence and I's opinion on the matter wasn't meaning that it wasn't stated regarding Harden, I just believe we both realized that this is nothing more than a silly rumor and more so speculation by the one writing the article.

Providence's and my is I think what you were looking for.
But uh, Heyman isn't a writer loaded with shit. If he wrote it, there's factual evidence to back him up. That being said, Billy Beane isn't an idiot.
Well, excuuuuuse me, didn't mean to ruffle your little feathers lol

lol.
Now, Steve Phillips is loaded with bullshit, but John Heyman is a good writer.
