Because we all know Alfonso Soriano in 2004 off-season has the same value of Felix Pie, Carlos Zambrano, Aramis Ramirez, and Rich Hill have now, especially after A-Rod's superior seasons in NY.

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.
Did I make this rumor? No.
And an A-Rod at 6.5 million has a lot more clout than an A-Rod at 26.5...
Once again, don't kill the messenger. If the Cubs did that, they'd be idiots, but nonetheless, that's the rumor. And I think it might have been Pie or Hill, not both. But then again, it was a radio rumor, on TMKS, so that's what I'm going from.
It's not A-Rod at 26.5. The Rangers ate a bunch of that. You can either say 25 for both (AAS) or you can separate it, but get it correct.

No, you took it from a New York radio station, which I'm sure was COMPLETELY unbiased in the whole thing.Originally Posted by Dry1313

Actually, the report came out of Chicago...
It was one of those: "If Piniella is hired look for Zambrano and Ramirez and Hill/Pie to be moved."
I'm not sure if you know but Ramirez can opt out and Hill/Pie is included in case the Cubs cannot sign him to an extension...
Not that this would ever happen, anyway.
