This season alone I'm taking Soriano, but in a more normal season (or hopefully in a more normal last two months of the season, for whoever gets Bobby), Abreu's the best of the bunch by a sizeable amount.
Abreu due to superior career numbers. I want someone who is more likely to put up consistently superior numbers if held on to.
Regression to the mean seems probable for Soriano and progression seems probable for Abreu.

Interesting note on Lee, even though he does not walk much, he hasn't been striking out much either. 38 walks to 39 k's for a big bat ain't shabby.
Also steals a base here and there. I'd hate to be the 2B or SS fielding the throw when Lee is lumbering at me.

How can you possibly say that after Abreu's power numbers have gone down and not by just a tad. He has done nothing since the 2005 All Star break not to mention his defense is declining too. Soriano has been consistent in his power numbers and he keeps getting better. Plus he is playing is a somewhat pitcher's park rather than in Philly. Abreu's career numbers are better. He has a career OPS 84 poins higher than Soriano and even this year his numbers are not bad, despite him having a "down" year.
He has simply been a better player over his career. It's really not that close.

Gordon is better than all.
Soriano for a number of reasons. He has playoff experience, he brings versatility and as everyone has said, he has power and speed. I would want him at the deadline.
You still didn't answer my question and the numbers aren't that far apart. Abreu has played a lot more than Soriano and Alfonso has nearly caught him in homeruns.
