Broussard Traded To M's

The Indians continued their midseason trading spree Wednesday by shipping first baseman Ben Broussard and cash to the Mariners for outfielder Shin-Soo Choo and a player to be named later.

Broussard is a guy I think can be like a Mark Grace type of guy. He is much better than Everett. It's good to see the M's trying to stay in it.

They had already dealt Eduardo Perez to the M's, and now Broussard too. Jesus. Is V-Mart going to play 1B now or what.

They can always put Hafner there. Although Victor Martinez at 1B wouldn't be so bad, he blows defensively at C.

Who the hell is going to be the 1B for the Indians? Mybe they'll move Casey Blake there and put Shin in the Lineup.

But they also need to get Andy Marte up too, so I'd look for him to be playing now too.

I think Ben and Eduardo will be dh and richie will play dh a small portion of the time while ben plays 1st. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't the Ben/Eduardo group work pretty well in cleveland?

According to Rotoworld, Blake will play 1B against righties and Victor will play against lefties. Which leaves Choo in right against righties, and Stoppach behind the plate.

Good move by the Injuns. Not a big fan of Broussard and Choo's a very nice, young player with good speed and good D.
