    Royals pull off another trade.

Royals acquired LHP Jorge De La Rosa from the Brewers for infielder Tony Graffanino.
De La Rosa, who had been on the DL with a finger blister, just threw five innings in the minors yesterday, so the Royals still might want to call up a reliever to replace Elmer Dessens tomorrow. Since De La Rosa is out of options, he will have to be added to the roster later this week. The Royals figure to put him in middle relief for now, but a rotation spot could be a possibility later on. With a very good fastball for a left-hander, he's worth taking a chance on. Still, the possibility exists that he'll never amount to much. Subpar command has held him back so far. Nice deal for the Royales.

De La Rosa's a nice young lefty. Tony Graffanno is nothing of particular use.

Not a bad start for Dayton Moore.

Graff would serve better on an actual contender. Poor him.

The Royals attempting to gain back some popularity with good moves? Might be working. Though, making up for trading Dye, Beltran, and Damon will take a hell of alot of good moves to equal.

Were the Brewers in need of a middle infielder or something?

Yeah, Moore has added eight pitchers to the Royals organization in the past seven weeks. It's apparent where he wants this team to be headed.

    Pitching and defense.

I don't think the fact that they traded them was the problem. It was a the lack of return the pissed off the Royals fans.

John Buck, Mark Teahen and Mike Wood for Beltran? Are you kidding me? Neifi Perez for Jermaine Dye? Mark Ellis and Johnny Damon for Angel Berroa, AJ Hinch and Roberto Hernandez? Come on.
