Reds Trade don't shoot the messenger

I agree, its stupid... BUT....

Edwin Encarnacion didn't start the last two or three games of the Braves series, supposedly because of the error he made in his first game back from the DL. Now, would it make more sense for the team to hold Encarnacion out because he was a part of a potential deal, or because he made an error.

Even as a Reds fan I cannot believe this. #1 Dontrelle ALONE would LIKELY require at least Homer Bailey in ANY trade, if not more and the reds have said they will NOT trade Bailey period. Kearns is on the block but he wouldn't be close alone, we would have to trade Travis Chick, forementioned Bailey or some other top flight young spects (maybe Edwin) and I don't see the Reds doing this. #2 Tejada just turned 30 yrs old and is a stud, again Baltimore would probably demand the minimum of Bailey and a second tier spect just to start negotiations. #3 Would these teams take Milton to offset cost?

Not saying I woudlnt LOVE this to happen but the Reds just don't have the ammo to pull 2 blockbuster type trades right now. Maybe 1 (if theres someway that it doesnt include Dunn, Bailey) but not 2 unless we unload a LOT of young guys. This one just doesnt pass the smell test.

*If by chance Krivsky DOES pull these off and doesnt have to trade Bailey and totally wreck the core I will forever praise him as the greatest GM the Reds have had since the BRM like I will forever call Jim Bowden the dumbest GM ever to be in baseball.

Its more likely that this "trade" will be Kearns for Westbrook rather than Kearns, Lopez, Hatteberg, and prospects for Willis and Tejada.
