    Poor Guys

    Yankees released RHP Scott Erickson.
Erickson allowed 12 runs -- 10 earned -- in 11 1/3 innings before being designated for assignment on June 11.

Red Sox designated first baseman J.T. Snow for assignment.
Snow hit .205/.340/.205 in 44 at-bats for the Red Sox. Maybe he's still capable of hitting .275/.343/.365 like he did with the Giants last season, but it would take a lot more at-bats than the Red Sox had to give him. Boston will try to trade him over the next 10 days. It figures to be difficult to find a taker.
I am glad the Giants aren't going after Snow and I thought I would never say that.

For a while I assumed J.T. Snow would win at least 1 World Series before the Angels did for the karmic reason of letting him go to San Fran.

It wasn't irony, it was that damn rally monkey. Snow has AIDS now, but was one of the few who actually showed up for the WS.
