No idea what they're asking from you guys. I've heard something like Etem, Vatanen and a 1st from the Ducks though

2 potential 1sts and a contract thats coming off the books, if you werent willing to just give him the extra 3 mil over the life of an extension... for a guy who was disgruntled and wanted out. yep, thats a dolan-ran team move.

Deadline passed. Vanek to the Habs, Moulson to the Wild, Kesler stays put

Garth Snow is a disaster. As is Jack Capuano. Opting to become an Islanders fan 18 months ago was about as good a decision as becoming a Mets, Jets and Knicks fan...

I've had Mets/Knicks/Jets for years (since about 1998-1999). Never cared much for hockey until recently, and I was convinced to choose the Islanders.

Garth Snow is the Tony Reagins of Hockey GMs lol. Gives up a 1st, 2nd and Moulson to get Vanek. Gives up Vanek and a conditional 5th to get Collberg and a conditional 2nd. The condition on the picks is the Habs have to make the playoffs or no picks are exchanged

There was joking (I think) speculation when the deal broke as "Islanders trade Vanek to Canadiens," that that was the entire deal. Just Vanek to Montreal. That's the team I root for.
