My guess is there's an actual process where they may or may not accept your offer while also considering the offers of others and a wait period to go with it, and that you can perhaps offer multi year contracts... kinda like the FA periods I sim through at the beginning of the year.

In MSL, after the FA period is over they'll sign with whatever team I have selected so long as you meet their contract demands and I can only do 1 year deals.

It's probably like the last few iterations, which is a lot like real life, some players will wait until the season has started to even sign if they're not getting good offers/low balled. So for example, no team is really coming close to what Vince Russo wants, he might not sign with a team till the middle of May or something.

You'd also have to forego the 20 mill ceiling (have no ceiling) cause all the good FA have lofty demands and sign for Chipperesque or more amounts although when I've ran a franchise for many seasons, a lot of teams quickly go poor cause of the mad spending.

    Re: OOTP 19

Ill try and mess with the baselines for superstar players and such to see if that does anything with the 50 million dollar asking prices.....

Most of the big name guys wait until the winter meetings (about 2 months after seasons end) to even give the standard response of Needs more $$$, other teams saying offering more, etc. I could have GMs have multiple offers to input so help with that potential issue.

Another thing I would do is make sure that both the scouting and coaching system is turned off. It does have bigger influence of prospects/players in both good and bad.

I also have to make the entire revenue available or its a pain in the ass to deal with because some owners want to save 80 million dollars while others say spend away.

The compensation is like the 2012 rules, so that has to be done is the qualifying offer of 15 million and if that players says no, you get comp. So I can still do pick trading. You do run the risk of that player not signing (if gives you about a month to negotiate but you only get one chance offer wise.) There are international amateur free agents, you get 5 million to spend on a hard cap.

I don't know the online pages look yet for draft classes and such. Maybe someone else has messed with that.

What I'm trying to get at here, is that A) we do need another league on the site and b) have one that isn't 6.5, it's starting to get a little boring for me at the moment. Don't worry Leo, I'm not leaving MSL.
I have two concerns, one is obviously my unpredictable work schedule/having a near 2 year old and the other is getting enough GMs to make it worthwhile.

If you allow exporting, you stand a chance at bringing in new blood to fill a league. It would greatly reduce your workload sifting through PMs and less GMs have to type everything, bold changes, specify certain strats, etc. Zero downside.

I most certainly would allow exporting. That made my life easier when I did run the league in 8. And during the summer when I'm working 45-55 hours it helps a lot.

I'd be more inclined to play with exporting compared to not.

I wish I could use '18, I'd love to play too. I overly enjoy micromanaging my team.

Maybe if you knock down the importing/exporting thing you can show me how to do it.

I might be able to help you on that. It's been a while since I've done it.

Seeing as how I tried to get the league settings figured out for an online league and I couldn't even do that lol, I would be ecstatic join another league, especially on 19.

Sim wise I think I'm ready to go. I'm just working out a save issue with the game. There are times it doesn't save to the correct folder.
