Re: So have we reached sim league saturation?

I think with PSL, some people are intimidated by OOTP8/exporting as a concept (yes, I know Porter accepts PMs too). I think if there was something unique about a new league, people would join, at least most of the regulars. But that doesn't mean we NEED a fourth either.

I'm the opposite. I'd join a third normal league, it's the "uniqueness" that keeps me out of PSL (waivers, the exporting option, the varying contract amounts per year, etc).

Too time consuming and not really my cup of tea.

Another TBL or MSL? I'd be in.

Interesting. I mean, I'd join another league pretty much regardless, haha.

Would moving to a newer version of OOTP, such as OOTP 15, turn people away? The newer versions are more 'evolved' than 6.5, which makes it run differently than 6.5, especially when it comes to financials. The game engine is more refined, but the financials are expanded substantially.

I'd certainly give it a chance, but I'm way too familiar with 6.5 and it'd probably take me awhile to get super active, kinda like with PSL and 8 right now.

If this is a specific would you play, I'm having enough trouble keeping up with the 2 I'm in right now. As for the site, I think it depends on the game. Also depends how many teams. 30? Doubtful. 20? Should work.

If it were another 6.5 league, or even 4 more, I'd join in a heartbeat.

The only time I feel a tad overwhelmed with the time those leagues take is when I'm setting up for opening day changes.

The exporting isn't as time consuming as perceived. It actually keeps my preparation time down for presimming. LJ how long does it take you to prepare an export?

Most of my time is spent tinkering (slowly) because I own and am used to OOTP15's setup. In terms of actually going through whatever I go through sim-to-sim? 15-20 min at most.

Re: So have we reached sim league saturation?

As I said in another thread, I'd be interested in Commishing an OOTP15 league if we had hosting/interest. If people prefer all PM, I can do that. But, it seems like the taste for another league is mixed.

I'd at least want pm's to be an option so that I'm not required to buy the game to participate. At least 8 is free.

Yeah, I know. I was responding to LJ and the notion of a '15 league.
