It actually lets you rearrange the player listings by each rating depending on what you click on

I think you can get rid of all scouts and have all ratings determined by what the game calls the "OOTP Scouting Association," but I've never fooled around with that.

I'd rather everyone see the same default ratings across the board.

That could be a deal breaker for me. I hated that nonsense with the first version of PSL and was glad when Porter said he was getting rid of it.

That's fair. I think the "scouting association would do that. But redsfan would have to confirm.

Re: So have we reached sim league saturation?

I have disabled the scouting system, which makes things pretty uniform. I can also adjust how quickly prospects fill out and how quickly veterans die off with greater finesse then 6.5. I've ran the game through several years to see how it behaves and other than statistical differences, the prospects progress and vets die off almost identically using the settings I have it at now. I got called into work today, so I hope to have a sample for you all this evening.

Also, the financial engine is improved. Players don't usually straight up tell you they don't like your organization. I do plan on having a salary cap and appropriately adjusted financials to go along with it, unless you all want a soft cap (revenue sharing and luxury tax like current MLB has).

What I had planned on is once we get settled on what program we're using (which I think is getting close), I would put to a vote the features you all want in terms of financial stuff and some of the newer points that 15 allows for. I have an insane amount of stuff I can customize to your liking. As I said, it's your league.

I can tell you a few features that WILL be disabled: scouting, coaching, 40-man rosters, minor league free agency, rule 5 draft, no-trade clauses and 10/5 rights, refusing minor league assignments. We are also not doing waivers, unless you desperately want them. To me, they're a PITA.

of all of that stuff... i kinda like the 10/5 rights. other than that, i agree with doing away with all the rest.

The only reason I brought up 10/5 is because it's a de facto no-trade for veterans.

Re: So have we reached sim league saturation?

So, they always refuse once they have those 10/5 rights?

I don't think I like anything that restricts trading like that. I'm not that tied to "realism".

I think I only want real rosters, that's enough realism for me. And probably the most exciting aspect to me.
