Re: 2014 GML Unofficial Draft Thread
Well Witlon you were right on the position, just the wrong one. I wanted one of the corners or Pryor (who I think will be the better STRONG safety), Dix I see more as a free safety at the next level. I missed out on the corners but thats the price you pay to add more depth later and with an extra 2,4, and 7 I feel like I'm in great shape.
Re: 2014 GML Unofficial Draft Thread
I plan on picking tonight after Arizona's deadline or whenever the pick is in.
Re: 2014 GML Unofficial Draft Thread
hang tight, I have ARZ's list.
Re: 2014 GML Unofficial Draft Thread
Re: 2014 GML Unofficial Draft Thread
Could be looking to trade down from 24
Re: 2014 GML Unofficial Draft Thread
Pick is in.
Edit-Was going to take BPA but those players were swooped up before my original selection.
Re: 2014 GML Unofficial Draft Thread
I probably don't have the pieces but I'd like to get one more stab at round 1
Re: 2014 GML Unofficial Draft Thread
Shazier at 22 was higher than I thought but justified.
Re: 2014 GML Unofficial Draft Thread
Never understood why people get caught up in where a player is drafted. Teams have different holes and different schemes which completely nullifies the "overall rankings". If you pick at 22, and dont pick again for 32 more picks, then you take the best player for your team... one of my pet peeves.
Re: 2014 GML Unofficial Draft Thread
we was completely best player available for me. I dont think I have a need at LB. But he is definitely a player, and its good to add him to this revamped defense.
Re: 2014 GML Unofficial Draft Thread
Well it's also a case of value. When I picked at 12, my biggest need was TE. If I took ASJ, wouldn't you consider that a reach?
Re: 2014 GML Unofficial Draft Thread
I think he is for sure worth the 22nd pick. Kids a stud

Everything is relative, but generally speaking I agree with 305.
Re: 2014 GML Unofficial Draft Thread
I wouldnt, no.... an all pro selected in the 1st is the same as an all pro selected in the 7th.
Re: 2014 GML Unofficial Draft Thread
That's also why I can't see myself making some of the trades some of you guys have made. Trading 1 pick for 7 picks. Those 7 picks could potentially all pan out to be studs. We've seen so many players drafted from round 1 through 7 that have panned out. So I don't put a ton of stock into where players were drafted. Then again, watching the tape for yourself and devising a big board is what you should base your selections and strategy off of.
