Did a filler draft for something to do...

    Quite possibly, my best ever...

    C- <EMPTY>
    1B- Helton(6), Giambi(15)
    2B- Utley(4), Weeks(12)
    3B- Glaus(9)
    SS- Peralta(11)
    OF- Guerrero(1), Abreu(2), Bay(3), Sizemore(7), Gomes(26)
    SP- FHernandez(8), Colon(10), Garcia(17), Bonderman(20), Harang(22), Blanton(23), Perez(25)
    RP- Rivera(5), Jenks(13), Gordon(14), Orvella(24), Shields(16), Duscherer(18), Baez(21)

Holds are accounted for, and OPS and TB are extra stats. Head to head league, no IP limit.

Knew I could wait on catcher from other drafts. Got speed/power in the first 4 rounds with Utley, Bay, Abreu and Vlad. Covered my weakness in SP with late picks Harang, Oliver and Blanton.

Should own the holds market with 3 of the top setup men in the league, and still pulled down 3/4 closers. With the league tilted toward power, I went Peralta-Weeks(15 HR, 30 SB hopefully) to help out my middle infield. Went without a catcher by design to add some depth. Gomes in the 26th is too hard to pass up, IMO.

    What do you guys think?

depending on what the number of starters and benchies you guys have in that league, going with no catcher is either quite strategic or incredibly moronic.

Looks good, but I'd say pick up a catcher and drop Harang.

I have to try the no catcher thing at least for a while because...

    A. There's no one availbale that won't hurt my team in at least 3 catagories.
    and
    B. I've never tried it before.

Story: McKain once did an all catcher draft, pissing off a whole bunch of people. He traded Ivan Rodriguez for Barry Bonds

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.

    true dat.

It took them way too many rounds to figure out I was doing it and they started mega-reaching. Like, Paul Bako in the 9th reaching.

    second or third to last

One guy got pissed off after the draft and dumped his entire team, and another dude had like 8 injured guys and never updated, whereas I drafted a team full of multi-postion catchers. I had a C, 1B, 3B, 2 OF, Bonds, a util, and I *believe* a 2B who were all C-eligible.

Should have gone for a team of multi-positional catchers more than just plane catchers; that way you could still compete and play spoiler!

There really aren't any multi-positional catchers... And I missed out on Lo Duca and Ramon Hernandez cause two dudes took them in the 3rd round and 4th rounds when they saw I started out with 3 catchers, hah.

I'm pretty sure Rob Fick is the only one around right now, unless I missed someone.
