Thread: Boston Trade Block

    Boston Trade Block

Basically, we have an excess of talent in some places and none elsewhere. Right now we have 4 outfielders for 3 spots (DHs we can find later if needed), and we would like to deal one or two of them. We have Jim Rice, Dwight Evans, and Mike Easler, all of which we're willing to trade (Rice less than the other two). Rice is a 3.0 OF who pretty much does everything pretty well at the plate with decent speed to boot. Dwight Evans is similar, 2.5 OF who has great patience with decent hitting ability, plays 4 positions. Mike Easler gives you a nice hitter versus right handed pitchers and he patrols the COF well, not a slouch v. LHP either.

We also have a lot of pitching, so Bruce Kison is the odd man out for us. 3.0 SP, Good overall SP, great endurance, for some teams he would be their ace.

Looking at our roster, we are lacking severely infielders, specifically 1B, 2B, and Catchers. We would love to pick up some decent ones to place in the game. If you have some that you think would be equal value for these guys or someone else (some players are near untouchable, some aren't), then PM myself or mission.

    -Boston management.

A couple trades have been sent in and Dwight Evans is off the market.

At this point, we are looking specifically for a solid catcher. If you need a starting pitcher to get over the hump and can get us a decent and preferably young catcher, we're looking to make a deal. If you'd prefer offense, we're willing to deal Rice, but more willing to deal other OF or pitchers. Contact us.

Update: We've gotten the catcher we wanted, so a mini-update.

Boston is looking for a reliever swap. If you have a left-handed RP that you're willing to trade for an equal right-handed RP (or maybe slightly better if it's the right guy), contact us. Our pen is righty loaded.
